Let’s face it: Indian parents are notorious for forcing their kids into marriage. “I was younger than you when I got married!” is a popular line used by mothers to blackmail their young daughters, who’ve barely graduated from university, into making a lifelong commitment that they may not be ready for – or even want. Men are not exempt either. Plenty of young men find themselves helpless in the face of guilt trips about how their mothers won’t be around to see their grandchildren if they wait any longer!
