A Serial Entrepreneur

Meet Narinder Singh, COO extraordinaire of Utopia.

By Pam Piruzi

Apart from the joy of doing their own thing, every entrepreneur dreams of making it big. That’s precisely what Utopia Inc. did. Co-owned by Narinder Singh, Arvind Singh (the CEO) and Andres R Martin, the company managed to attract a minority investment worth a whopping $50 million, barely nine years after its founding – no mean feat for any organisation. Singh and his partners own a majority stake in the company, and are considering taking it public in the next three to five years.

Singh, a Punjabi in his 50s who originally hails from Rajasthan, is the Chief Operating Officer of Utopia, where he heads the company’s global Delivery, HR and Finance functions. He also leads Utopia’s international expansion and new entity set up. We caught up with Singh to find out more about Utopia and what makes him tick.
