I have an old T-shirt that says “it’s better in Goa”. Having recently spent a memorable two weeks in that seductive slice of paradise just off India’s scenic Konkan coast, I can firmly declare that a slogan never rang more true! Goa is not just a place, it’s not just a geographical destination. Goa is a state of mind.
You can’t “do” Goa like you do Phuket. You cannot even do it the way you do Bali, which for an average tourist, probably means a day in Ubud to soak in the “arts”, a day in Nusa Dua to soak in the surf and a day in Kuta for retail therapy.
