There are very few reasons that would motivate a late riser like me to enthusiastically get dressed before 4 am to reach my destination before sunrise. The Taj Mahal in Agra is right up there. As I walked in the lanes leading to this architectural marvel and testament to love, I was kept company by tourists of various nationalities, the cacophony of different dialects somehow blending into the setting. We all had one thing in common: Eager anticipation coupled with curiosity at viewing the Taj.
